The 7-Day Peel Diary: What to Expect
- Day 1: Your skin will look slightly tan or bronzed. It will feel tight, but there is no peeling yet. You can resume normal activities.
- Day 2: Skin feels tight. You should begin using your Aftercare Kit.
- Day 3: The peeling begins. It usually starts around the mouth and nose.
- Day 4-5: Heavy peeling. This is the “social downtime.” Do not pull the skin! Let it shed naturally.
- Day 6-7: The peeling finishes.
- The Reveal: Fresh, glowing, radiant skin emerges. Texture is smoother, and pigment is lighter.

Your VI Peel Questions, Answered
Surprisingly, no. The first pass of the peel solution may feel warm or tingly for a few seconds, but the formula contains a numbing agent (Phenol) that kicks in quickly. Most patients describe the rest of the application as painless.
We recommend avoiding makeup during the active peeling phase (Days 3-5) to let the skin breathe and shed naturally. However, if absolutely necessary, you can wear mineral makeup on Day 1 and 2, but keep it light.
You will see a brighter tone after just one peel. However, for deep issues like acne scarring or stubborn melasma, we typically recommend a series of 3 peels spaced 4 weeks apart for a complete transformation.
